same here, when run the pnpx node-modules-inspector in my local project. And I try on new pure create-vite project, it also give this error.

It seems to be caused by this PR #79. The change in

node-modules-inspector/packages/node-modules-inspector/src/node/server.ts

Line 23 in 611ce38

app.use('api/metadata.json', eventHandler(async (event) => {

causes this resolve error, so I tried changing api/metadata.json to /api/metadata.json, which worked fine for me.
