Make sure these boxes are checked before submitting your issue - thank you!

  • I have checked the superset logs for python stacktraces and included it here as text if there are any.
  • I have reproduced the issue with at least the latest released version of superset.
  • I have checked the issue tracker for the same issue and I haven't found one similar.

Superset version

Expected results

celery worker does not timeout and stucks forever.

Actual results

celery worker should stop executing mysql query.

We are executing mysql queries in async mode on celery workers. Have following parameters in the config file.

Using below command to start a worker:
celery worker --app=superset.sql_lab:celery_app --pool=gevent -Ofair --loglevel=info --logfile=/var/log/superset/celery_worker.log -n worker_1 -E

As timeout is set to 20 minutes, worker should stop execution of query after 20 mins, and should be available to execute other queries.

And default concurrency is number of cores. We have 8 core machine, though worker executes only 1 query at a time. Also, -C option does not change anything.
