You'll be able to make it work by downgrading thin to the latest stable release. Using 2.0.0.pre is what is causing trouble here. Please close this issue if it works for you. Thanks!

Thank for the quick response.
I saw that it was already fixed on master, installing the gem from current master works fine with ruby 2.1.2.
I wonder where the thin-2.0.0.pre version was coming from
