LinkedBlockingQueues generally exhibit better throughput and diminished lock contention when compared to ArrayBlockingQueues.
Clojure.core/concat always returns a LazySeq, not a vec, and LazySeq has some synchronized badness (see src/jvm/clojure/lang/LazySeq.java, line 59).
