I've gone through the HTTP API documentation at and
added low-level helpers to the UGConnection object that generate
NSURLRequests for each of these methods.

These are detailed here:

My goal for this was to expose the full API for use within apps and
testing with Nu. A few methods wrap HTTP API calls that are not yet
supported by Usergrid, such as this one:

  • (NSMutableURLRequest *) deleteApplication:(NSString *) applicationIdentifier inOrganization:(NSString *) organizationIdentifier;

I've also added three sample apps to a new "samples" directory. These are

  • Books, a native Objective-C version of the Books app that Tim
    Anglade uses in his HTML5 class. In my opinion, this not only looks
    and performs better, it's also simpler and uses less code than Tim's
    HTML5 version (I wrote it while working along with the HTML5 example
    in his class).

  • Parties, a simple client for the "Party API" that Jeff Morris is
    using for his WWDC Party List app
    ( The purpose for this is to
    provide app developers with a simple example that uses the same
    services as Jeff's production app.

  • Browser, a general-purpose Usergrid collection browser.
