It'd be nice to see a prettier name display for group principals from LDAP. For example I use the apple.schema on my server so seeing a mapping to apple-group-realname would be perfect. Otherwise displayName is another reasonable attribute.

The current LDAP back-end has a highly configurable way to specify LDAP schema, which should let you choose which attribute to use for display names.

You can specify which LDAP attribute to use for display name on a per-record-type basis in caldavd.plist. Look for the various "mapping" dictionaries in the LDAP DirectoryService section of caldavd.plist, and you can map "fullName" to whichever LDAP attribute you choose.
