Rich and I ran into a problem with the pstops filter and reverse order printing done on the host. The problem was that each page was being duplicated in the output. For one copy this would look like: 3, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1

I believe I've found the problem and since this code is a bit tricky I was hoping to get your feedback. In addition I added some code so that duplex reverse order would properly generate an extra side when needed and that side would be the first of the set.

Your comments are most appreciated. Updated pstops.c enclosed with #if with comments surrounding the relevant changes. In one case code is if'ed out and in the other case I've added new code with if around.

David,

Can you please confirm this problem with the standard CUPS pstops filter? When I test against the 1.1.19 filter with both the CUPS sample driver and some HP PPD files, I can't duplicate the problems you describe. I do get the correct number of pages and the first page is blank when printing reversed duplex pages.

It is looking to me as if there was a merge/integration issue because if I look at the vendor branch code we have for pstops.c it indeed has the proper code. My apologies for the confusion. Since there has not been such an integration issue in the past I was not careful to check that possibility. I will do so in the future.
