HTTP HEAD gives no response #1481

hello,

i believ this is a bug and not a feature. my cups 1.1.23 is giving no "HTTP 200 ok" response when it gets a HEAD request, it simply closes the connection. this is bad because we are using a simple loadbalancer which checks via HEAD request for two webservers if they are alive.

here's my telnet output (i changed the hostname to "cupsserver"):
telnet cupsserver 631
Trying 192.168.1.100...
Connected to cupsserver.
Escape character is '^]'.
HEAD / HTTP/1.0

Connection to cupsserver closed by foreign host.

is this fixed in version 1.2 of cups or can i configure/build my cups to respond correctly to HEAD requests?

Fixed in Subversion repository.

This is actually a bug in the CUPS API - httpUpdate() wasn't treating HTTP_HEAD state transitions properly.
