Version: 1.2-current
CUPS.org User: riopedre.tiscali

After installing 1.2rc1 version, I have seen that the web interface did not show the time and date in the correct format for the locale (STR #1505).

OK, we'll need to debug2 error_log file to see what is coming from the browser and what is getting passed into the CGI program. Please change the log level, view the jobs page, and then send us the error_log file.

Thanks!

OK, do you have a /usr/share/locale/es/LC_TIME directory on your system?

Does the following command produce the output you expect?

LANG=es date

I'm thinking that this just might be a problem with the language to locale name mapping not working right for unqualified locales...

Yes, I have /usr/share/locale/es/LC_TIME directory on my system.

You're right. The output for
LANG=es date
is
Wed Mar 29 18:06:30 CEST 2006

In my system, the LANG variable equals to
es_ES.UTF8
and the output for date command is OK:
mié mar 29 18:06:17 CEST 2006

Before installing CUPS 1.2.rc1 release, I had 1.1.23 version from FC4 repositories. The web interface showed the time and date correctly in this version.

OK, try the current trunk code as of r5352 - the country code was getting stripped in a couple places but it looks like everything is getting through now...

I have tried CUPS r5357, but no changes. Dates are in English.

I have used three browsers: Firefox 1.5.0.1, Mozilla 1.7.10 and Konqueror 3.5.1.
I have tried differents browser locale settings putting as first option Spanish/Spain (es-es) or Spanish (es) with the same result.

I assume you reinstalled and restarted cupsd?

How about running ldconfig and then stop/start cupsd?

Of course, I installed r5357 yesterday. I have booted my computer two times today. I restarted cupsd many times.

I have run ldconfig and after that I have stopped/started cupsd. The first thing I see is that home page is in English (!). Other pages are mixed (buttons in English and the rest in Spanish). But the date are OK at last.

Yeah, because of how cupsd "hides" the localization of files from the browser (same URL can yield different results), you'll need to clear your browser cache to see an all Spanish UI...

Anyways, glad to hear that it is finally working for you, too... :)
