As described in RFC 3239 I want to add an enhancement request for the IPP operation 'Pause-Printer-After-Current-Job'.

If you hava a large format printer you would notice this simple practical example:

While the current job will be printed out successfully, the next print job in queue will run out of paper. You have to change the paper roll after the current job is completed. It would be nice to use a 'Pause-Printer-After-Current-Job' command here.

Current CUPS supports the Hold-New-Jobs and Release-Held-New-Jobs operations which provide the functionality required by your use case.
