We originally backed off from using yarn because of web3 shenanigans, but it looks like it's working quite well now. We will also be moving our web3 dependencies to beta.37 (and the upcoming stable v1, when released), which should have less problems with yarn and lock files.

now may also use yarn for staging and nightly deployments (although it's having some problems at the moment).

Moving to yarn will also allow us to experiment with pnp (assuming our bundlers support it), making build times faster.
