You can just not there.
In case you haven't noticed SET is used to set a variable...
Setting ".cpp" would set it to ".cpp" ( the string )......

You can use globbing:
FILE (GLOB sources "*.cpp")
ADD_EXECUTABLE (foo ${sources})
