Theodoric's Goals

This page is intended to describe the high-level goals for the next ArcheOS release (Theodoric). Regarding bugs and specific features please refer to issues on github marked with "Theodoric" milestones.

• Release i386 and x64 architectures
• Migrate all ArcheOS packages to source (quilt) format on github
• Use Debian wheezy as base distribution
• Use Gnome3 as default desktop environment. Consider XFCE 4.10 too, if included in the debian base.
• Use tasksel to select and install common ArcheOS metapackages (archeos-gis, archeos-cad, etc.) during installation
