Hi tux,
not sure if this is the best place to point this out but in order to use tidal with upmpdcli you need to enable ffmpeg in mpd.conf

I lost a couple of hours before solving this, so putting a note in the Tidal section of the document could save other people's time. Should I update the odt file with the instructions and issue a pull request?

Thanks for your great work!

Thanks for the feedback. It's strange because I did several tests before latest release and I never had ffmpeg enabled.
At the moment I don't have an active tidal subscription to test myself, but I have added a note based on your feedback.

Regards,
Mike

Maybe you were using the lossless subscription and ffmpeg enabled is required only with lossy stream? Anyway if you need to test it I can temporary share my Tidal subscription.

Cheers

I assume using lossless was the reason I did not need ffmpeg.

Thanks for your feedback!
