R package (in progress) for the analysis of functional motion tracking data.
The package is designed to interact closely with the fda and fda.usc packages, and consists (in part) of convenient wrappers for the routines in fda. The package is tailored for the preprocessing that we use in our own work, although there should be enough flexibility in the parameter settings for others to get something out of it as well.
Because the statistical analysis of functional data (e.g. fANOVA and functional regression) is already well handled by other packages, the focus of grasp is on preprocessing functional data and arranging it in a form so that it can be easily passed to other packages for analysis, and on the visualization of 3-dimensional reach trajectories. We also include routines for the preprocessing and visualization of 3-dimensional rotations (represented by quaternions).
