When some files are not included in any bundle through the urlmap, they are ignored.

It should be possible to explicitly keep a file out of any bundle.

@flongo Can you elaborate a bit more and provide a use case?

@divdavem How does it look like with the new build?

I am closing this issue, which is no longer valid as we migrated to atpackager.

Now, if a file (.js, .tpl, .tpl.css, .tpl.txt, .tml or .cml) is not specified in any bundle:

  • if it is a dependency of a file included in a bundle, then the file will be added to the same bundle as the first file which depends on it
  • if it is not a dependency of any other file then the open-source build will fail (due to the CheckPackaged visitor)

If this default behavior is not adapted to a file, that file should be explicitly included in the right bundle in files-prod.json, or should be added to the list of allowed unpackaged files in the grunt packaging.prod.allow_unpackaged_files configuration variable in config-packaging.js.
