I'm trying to use StringIO to upload an mp4 file to Facebook.

  @oauth = Koala::Facebook::OAuth.new
  @graph = Koala::Facebook::API.new(@user.fb_token)
  @graph.put_video(open(@cut.url), MIME::Types['video/mp4'], {:message => "Message"})

This is the error:

Koala::Facebook::APIError (OAuthException: (#352) Video file format is not supported):

Unfortunately it looks like Facebook doesn't support mp4s -- Koala just passes the error message through as it receives them :/

But Facebook specifically says that they accept mp4

FWIW, I've gotten this error while passing Files, Tempfiles, and StringIOs (never tried URLs) and finally figured out what was wrong: Facebook cares what the file extension is: As soon as I passed a Tempfile with a .mp4 in the extension everything was just fine and worked as expected.

Well, that's absurd. @sabernar, any chance you were passing files with the wrong extension too?
