module-omicron

A submodule for CAVE2(TM) development using Unity3D

Module-Omicron provides a series of tool for development of Unity3D applications for CAVE2(TM) using Mechdyne's GetReal3D plugin http://www.mechdyne.com/software.aspx?name=getReal3D+for+Unity.

This distribution is intended to be used as a submodule of an existing project. For a Unity packaged example project see https://github.com/arthurnishimoto/omicron-unity.

The key components of this module are:

  • OmicronManager - Connects to the Omicron https://github.com/uic-evl/omicron input server to provide access to various input devices
  • CAVE2Manager - Manages input events and provides 'CAVE2 Simulator Mode' tools for offline development
  • OmicronPlayerController - PlayerController designed to take advantage of the user-tracked virtual environment
