Alignment canvas bases do not match mouse coordinate system #7

Highlighted base does not change when mouse moves past the boundary of one into another.
For some reason, the canvas seems to match up to the coordinate system when I have the JavaScript console inset to the window.

Also seems to work well after resizing window. Something is fishy about displaying the alignment first after load. Looks like this is a problem with setting div container CSS position to relative. Looks great after we've resized the window, but lousy on first load.
