Governor Seats Update 2022-12-24

This Update defines three additional governors from the ASA Stats community, two additional governors from the Algorand community, two new ASA Stats titleholders, and an update to the number of votes for the most prominent governors from the ASA Stats community. All the rules defined in the initial document apply.

The allocation of ASASTATS to the governor seats will start on the 3rd of January, 2023.

ASA Stats community governors

Three members of the ASA Stats community are selected to become new ASA Stats governors. Related ASASTATS will be allocated to each governor seat and the same number of governor votes will be assigned to each governor.

Here are the new governors listed by their GitHub/Reddit usernames, together with the related amount of ASASTATS/votes that will be allocated to their governor seats:

Algorand community governors

Two members of the Algorand community are selected to become new ASA Stats governors. 500,000 ASASTATS will be allocated to each governor seat and the same number of governor votes will be assigned to each governor.

All the dedicated seats for the members of the Algorand community - as defined in the Open Letter - are occupied, so this document defines that the funds for two new governor seats will be allocated from the DAO Pool.

Here are the new governors listed by their Discord usernames, together with the reasoning for selecting them as the new ASA Stats governors:

• Urtho
  This update selects Urtho from AlgoNode as a governor selected from the Algorand community. ASA Stats uses AlgoNode's Algorand Indexer instances for the various background processes, and recently AlgoNode's Algorand Node instance has been added as a failover Node instance to the ASA Stats engine. On top of that, Urtho has always been at our disposal, providing help on many occasions.

• nullun
  This update selects nullun as a governor selected from the Algorand community. nullun has provided key information and helped resolve the major crisis ASA Stats has ever been dealt with after a bug in Algorand Node catchpoint syncing prevented the normal functioning of ASA Stats for a few hours.

ASA Stats community titles change and related governors' votes update

This update defines additional ASASTATS and governor seat votes for the newly selected ASA Stats title holders.

This update defines additional ASASTATS and governor seat votes for the prominent members of the ASA Stats community.

Methodology

An amount of 1,854,102 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Airdrop Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Airdrop to the new governor seats coming from the ASA Stats community.

An amount of 1,000,000 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Giveaway Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Giveaway to the new governor seats coming from the Algorand community.

An amount of 1,236,068 ASASTATS will be allocated from the DAO Pool to the Airdrop Pool. The same amount of tokens will be allocated in the DAO Airdrop to the new ASA Stats titleholders.
