Asastatser group update

One member of the Asastatser group has been omitted in the initial governor seat list.

This Update defines that governor's inclusion to the governor list with the total number of 600,000 votes (500,000 main votes and 100,000 additional Asastatser votes). All the rules defined in the initial document apply.

Investor group

This Update defines the option for adding new governors based on the membership in the ASA Stats Investor group.

This Update defines that 11 members of the Investor group who approached the presale can choose one of the following options:

1. 61.8034% in ASASTATS without a governor seat included

   The amount will be calculated by applying the percentage to the amount purchased in the presale.

2. 30.9017% in ASASTATS accompanied with a governor seat

   The amount will be calculated by applying the percentage to the amount purchased in the presale. The calculated amount equals the number of their governor seat votes. All the rules defined in the initial document apply.

An amount between 3,223,047 ASASTATS and 6,446,095 ASASTATS will be donated by the ASA Stats Development Pool to the ASA Stats Airdrop Pool.

The corresponding amounts will be transferred from the ASA Stats Airdrop Pool to the Investor group accounts in the Investor DAO Airdrop. Such activity will start around Tuesday 12/21.

2. Do the mentioned ASASTATS come as an airdrop?
3. Do I understand you correctly that any ASASTATS distributed to investors will be free of any conditions or obligations except for the conditions upon voting in case option 2 is selected with participation as a governor?
4. In which form do you want investors to communicate their choice?

Am I even eligible for a Governor position? Last I checked, investors were unable to apply for a Governor Seat.

Yes, this was an update that had been indirectly hinted upon the Open Letter publishing. By waiting for our presale to end we wanted that everybody had the same background regarding their motivation for investment.

If the positions are open, what sort of time commitment (in hours per month) would you estimate a governor to have to commit?

This is an answer I can't give. The voting system is conceived the way Algorand governance is conducted, by choosing an option and sending a transaction confirming your votes. We can't know right now home many of them will be conducted weekly or monthly.

I'm the SE Asian Director for a multi-national NGO and have a massively busy work schedule, however, this project interests me immensely and I would like to get involved more.....so long as we're not talking more than a few hours a month.

If it's going to take more work that 2 - 5 hours per month, I would have to honestly say I would fear being able to find the time in order to be an effective governor.

As ASA Stats aims to have the best UX, so I'm sure the actual voting implementation will have the same motivation during development.

But, we don't know how much time you personally would need to spend in comprehending the outcomes of voting. That's up to you, but I can promise that the time spent in technical means for actual voting will be measured in seconds per voting session.

I guess my final answer will depend on your estimation of time required per month as a Governor, and, if I'm even allowed to apply for a seat as I have invested.....although from what I understand, this is now allowed?

Yes, together with 31 members of the ASA Stats Asastatser group, with this update 11 more members of ASA Stats community, those members from the Investor group who had approached the presale, are qualified to become governors. The difference from the Assastatser group is only in having an option, and that is an outcome of the related discussion here.
