For one thing, there is the IntelliJ log file idea.log If you don't find information in this log file, run IntelliJ from a terminal window. Some information might be logged on the command line where you started it. Please let me know if this reveals any information. Thanks! |
Ok, tried it again.
Below is everything in idea.log.
Note that the error is about the android plugin,
Next, I disabled the android plugin, while keeping the asciidoctor plugin enabled.
Disabling the asciidoctor plugin, and enabling the android plugin again, Hope this info helps you find the cause of this |
I looked at your log files. The first logfile: it is using JDK 9 as JVM for IntelliJ. Please always use JetBrains JVM to run IntelliJ. This is the only supported JVM for this plugin. The second logfile: it is using the JetBrains JDK. IntelliJ seems to shutdown due to file corruptions, probably due to a previous crash: StorageException: .. storage corrupted /home/pvdissel/.IntelliJIdea2017.3/system/index/... Maybe would be a good idea to remove that folder completely if this occurs repeatedly in your logs - as always, please create a backup first. I hope this helps to troubleshoot this. |
Even when using the default JetBrains JDK, and no previous intellij config, so starting completely clean, the asciidoctor plugin still crashes IntelliJ :( Steps to reproduce:

sorry for the long long delay in answering.
Thanks for the support, and supporting the asciidoc plugin in Intellij, great work :D |
AsciiDoc Plugin Version: 0.20.0
IDE Name and Version:
IntelliJ IDEA 2017.3.4 (Ultimate Edition)
Build #IU-173.4548.28, built on January 29, 2018
JRE: 1.8.0_152-release-1024-b11 amd64
JVM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o
Linux 3.13.0-142-generic (Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS)
IntelliJ hinted the AsciiDoc plugin was updated, so ofcourse I installed it.
After the install, and restart of IntelliJ, when opening a project in IntelliJ, it just closes the whole of IntelliJ.
I check the IntelliJ logs, but no errors to be found.
For now I uninstalled the AsciiDoc plugin, and IntelliJ works again.
If there is anything I can help to debug this, let me know
