When I search for "Paris" using the wikidata engine, I get a result for "Paris Saint Germain" and not for Paris.

Using this query seems to work better:
https://www.wikidata.org/w/api.php?action=wbsearchentities&search={{ q }}&format=json&language={{ language }}&uselang=en&type=item

This query is used in wikidata.org: Query box right upper right.

Moreover it is possible to search for a term in one language and get the intended result, even it means something else in English.
