Tag repeat option, resize, move, (and other tag stuff) #1275
Description
- It would be useful if tags had a "repeat" number when you double click on them.
This number would function in the preview, but would also carry over into the export, adding the frames automatically. I've often had timelines filled with duplicated frames, which I imagine also increases system requirements. - It would be nice if tags could be easily resized, by dragging the edges. (would be a simple way of solving the next problem)
- At the end of the timeline, Dragging a frame to the end of a tag should put it outside of the tag if the mouse is far enough to the right of it, and put it inside if it's not that far, or within the frame at the end. As it stands, dragging any frame that isn't the last one will put it outside of the tag, and it's impossible to move the last frame outside of the tag without moving it somewhere else first.

(with the single frame playing exactly as the tagged frames would, but with one frame on the timeline)
https://i.gyazo.com/069c5e8ea27793a828f3fcddaf723619.png - If you don't want to add a list of tags taking up the UI, you could make it so "tag frame" is a different kind of frame, and double clicking on it allows you to select from existing tags. Or simply make it so the tag list can be toggled in the preferences, for those who dont want it taking up space on the timeline. Being able to drag tags onto the timeline would be convenient.
- Clicking and dragging a tag should probably allow you to move all the frames within it at once, with the ability to snap it between other tags.
That's everything; I understand that some of these changes are probably a lot of work, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Keep up the good work.
