When I go to export a file, the "Output File" field will have the file name with the appropriate file extension that's set under Preferences > Files.

However, if "Use native file dialog" is enabled under Preferences > Experimental, and I click on the [...] button in Export File, the native file dialog defaults to .aseprite.

Correct file extension

Incorrect file extension

Aseprite and System version

  • Aseprite version: v1.2.9
  • System: macOS
