@fene

You're a semi-responsible very bearded adult, you should be able to make your own decisions. Bottom line: Assemble is "beard aware". Wait... Assemble helps you make choices about your beard. Nevermind...

this not only sounds very awkward, but also infers that this is only aimed at male 'bearded' developers, which may not be the best thing to write in the literal beginning of the docs. i suggest to fix this and use more inclusive language thats aimed at everyone, not only a specific stereotype of a group

@ore Thanks for the issue! If you're reporting a bug, please be sure to include:

  • The version of assemble you are using.
  • Your assemblefile.js (This can be in a gist)
  • The commandline output. (Screenshot or gist is fine)
  • What you expected to happen instead.

it's very obviously making fun of the stereotype. It doesn't "infer" anything. It's a joke. Jokes don't infer things, they make fun of things. This is, again, obvious. But if you'd like to do a pr for a new website and documentation that would be awesome!

reopening to discuss alternatives. prs welcome for jokes that are as funny or funnier and don't offend anyone anywhere.

we've had 6 or 7 complains about this beard joke. I do find it interesting that all of the complaints, accept for one, have been from bearded men. Clearly a sensitive topic. People will tweet curse words and make vulgar jokes on twitter, then get offended by this beard joke.

@ore entire paragraph implies jekyll, were you extra-offended since you're on jekyll's core team? just curious. two other complaints were from people on competing site generator's teams.
