No Alt Gr (right Alt) support on Windows #3589
Comments
Yes, I'm afraid that's the case on any OS. Alt-Gr isn't supported very well and there are a number of issues open for it already. Follow this one to see when something happens on this front: |
This will be addressed by atom/atom-keymap#35 as @batjko pointed out. |
in the package section : search keyboard-localization -> selection of the layout (ex: fr_FR) |
thanks for the package, make my day too ! |

There are several keyboard layouts (i.e. Latin American) that make use of the right
Alt
key (labeled asAlt Gr
) as a special helper key, different from the leftAlt
.For example, in my keyboard I use
Alt Gr
+Q
to print the@
symbol. This is not working on Atom 0.129.0, Windows 8.1 Pro, American English with a Latin American keyboard layout. The right
Alt
is simply handled the same as the leftAlt
, with no special functions. There are several quite common characters I'm not able to use, such as
\
,@
,~
, etc.The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
