<H2><A NAME="Admission"></A>Admission Policies and Procedures</H2>
<P>Undergraduate students are admitted through the University's admission office.<BR>
You can apply on-line: <A HREF="http://www.umkc.edu/admit/app.html">Application for Admission</A>. </P>

<LI>Freshmen are admitted according to <A HREF="http://www.umkc.edu/catalog">General
UMKC Undergraduate Admission Policies and Procedures</A>. </LI>
<LI>Transfer students should contact the University admissions office or
the School of Biological Sciences for information about transfer admissions.</LI>
<LI>Two-year community college students are encouraged to choose a major
in the school as early as possible and seek guidance from University admissions
officers and their own advisers so that a smooth transition into SBS programs
is possible. </LI>

Even though the official &quot;<U>Class Schedule &amp; Guide</U>&quot; is and should be used as the only 'official' list for course information, especially reference numbers, it has been realized that, once printed, the Class Schedule is rapidly outdated by corrections and modifications. Students will be able to browse the <A HREF="http://www.umkc.edu/registrar/sch.html">On-Line Class Schedules</A> which, we have been told, will be kept up-to-date on a (bi-)weekly basis.
