<p>Daily Announcements for April 20, 1999</p>
<p>Attention seniors: as we're finalizing graduation there are still seniors
who have not turned in graduation contracts. Please turn them in A.S.A.P.
If you want to be included in the graduation ceremony.</p>
<p>The post grad center will be open tonight from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Please let
your parents know and plan to make use of this resource while it is open.</p>
<p>Remember, if you're a guy about to turn 18, you need to register with selective
service. Either log onto the Internet (www.sss.gov), or register at your local
post office. Registration is quick and easy and it's the law. </p>
<p>Attention college-bound juniors: there will be a spring college fair on Saturday,
May 1st. There will be over 150 colleges and universities represented. This
would be an excellent opportunity for you and your parents to visit with college
admission representatives from schools both in Colorado and throughout the
country. There will also be workshops on selecting a college and sources of
scholarships. This program will be held at Englewood High school from 1:00
to 4:00pm. Check the post grad center for a partial listing of schools involved
in the college fair. </p>
<p>Attention outdoor club members and all seniors: there will be an outdoor
club meeting Thursday at 2:40pm in room La-9 to discuss the end of the year
canoe trip. Please see Mr. Webb if you cannot attend.</p>
<p>Congratulations to the girl's golf team for being the top Jeffco team in
the Greeley invitational tournament yesterday. Our third place finishers were
the team of Lindsay Conwell, Lindsay Wyant, Emily Wyant and Kylee Morton.
Lindsay Conwell led the rebels by placing 6th over-all with a round of 77.
Congratulations to all the girls for their excellent showing. </p>
<p>Congratulations to the following seniors who will serve as graduation speakers:
Welcome: Meredith Russo; Speakers: Sara Martin and Jenny Wallick; Farewell:
Justin Carlson.</p>
<p>Congratulations to the members of the columbine wind symphony. At the Colorado
High School Activities Association large group contest on Wednesday, they
received division 1, superior ratings from all judges, including sight reading.
Only 3 bands of the 20 bands there received straight 1's and Columbine was
the only 5a school to receive straight 1's. </p>
<p>Juniors: if you're interested in improving your SAT or ACT test scores, sign
up for the 3 week ACT/SAT test preparation class offered as a part of summer
school. The cost is $150 for each class. If you're interested, come to the
Counseling Center to pick up a registration form. Forms are due April 30th.</p>
