Spam Software. - Using a new and unique approach to deal with junk e-mail, SpammerSlammer
marks bulk advertisements and most other unwelcomed mail from advertisers before they get
to your Inbox so you can deal with them anyway you choose. <br>
<br>
SpammerSlammer uses an intelligent decision making approach to mark spams using one of 5
different levels based on various internet standards and other e-mail conventions. There's
no need to filter out everyone from an entire domain. <br>
<br>
Knowing that people around the Net receive all different types of e-mail, SpammerSlammer
will never delete a message. When SpammerSlammer finds a message it does not like it will
add a special tag to the subject of the message. Most e-mail programs, such as Eudora and
Outlook, provide filtering capabilities that will let you send these messages right to
your Trash folder or any folder you choose for final browsing before you delete them all
at once. SpammerSlammer allows you to include or exclude specific addresses to filter or
ignore.</small><br>

Business. Select a category to load a new page with available links. Cyber cards, online

simply entering a keyword and selecting from several popular search engines. On the
downside, the program performs a 200K download each time it loads. Also, it's

focused so close to the subject matter that it's a challenge to make out what they are --
hence the name &quot;Mystery Photos.&quot; Nonetheless, these images make for an
interesting way to protect your monitor. Options let you set the time delay between
images, use up to 14 transition effects with three speed levels, show pictures full-screen
or at original size, and display the images in grayscale mode. Plus, you can set any of
the pictures as your desktop background and have them regularly rotated. Even though the
screen saver is free, an occasional promotional message appears at the bottom of the
screen.</small></font><br>

<p><small><font face="Arial"><strong>cahmanul.zip:(511KB)</strong>If some of your programs
run slowly, the fault could lie with Windows disk cache management, which takes up most of
the available physical memory. When your system runs out of RAM, Windows starts to use
hard-disk-based virtual memory instead of flushing the disk caches. You can use Cacheman
to adjust this behavior. When you start the program, you'll see your free available
physical memory (which should increase after you optimize). Select one of the
optimizations methods from the pull-down menu. To make the settings permanent use the Save
command. Then, exit the program and reboot your system to activate the new disk cache
adjustments. Advanced settings let you make more precise adjustments. Many systems should
see better system performance because of less frequent use of the swap file. Cacheman is
easy to use, and features separate recommended settings for Win95 and Win98.</font></small><br>

simpler than with a lot of FTP clients. You can import connection information from WS_FTP,
with other formats to follow. A byte-count indicator provides download feedback. FTP
Explorer can be run in the background. A good setup routine will have you up and running
in no time. FTP Explorer is free for home and educational use. See readme.txt for other

<p><font face="Arial"><small><strong>tmprow97.zip:(984KB)</strong>TMPRO is a set of
templates for Microsoft Word to print tickets. The templates, macros, and toolbars allow
you to create numbered ticket, with front and back covers, for raffles and similar
purposes. The 12 templates provide basic formats including automatic numbering, and can be
modified with your own custom text and graphics. TMPRO includes utilities for making
adjustments to output so any type of printer can be used. The biggest shortfall of the
program is lack of a single interface or an obvious help file. You'll have to root around
in the created folders to find the various templates, samples and utilities then figure
out how to apply them to your own needs. Once you've done that, however, the program
offers some nice output with a lot of automation to get the job done.</small></font><br>

<p><font face="Arial"><small><strong>zipproj.zip:(1.13MB)</strong>Keep important data safe
with Zip Projects. This little backup utility provides a wizard-style interface that
allows you to maintain as many backup sets as you like. The backups are zipped to the
destination of your choice, with support offered for maintaining multiple copies of each.
A scheduler is included to automate the process. Other features include disk space charts
and the ability to create a desktop backup set shortcut. On the downside, Zip Projects
doesn't offer nearly the flexibility it should in regard to defining your backup sets.
Each set contains a single folder -- period. There is no way to add individual files,
define file filters, add more than one folder, or have it back up files recursively.
Hopefully, these oversights will be remedied by the time the program comes out of beta.</small></font><br>
