<p>ATLANTA -- As an anxious mother looks on, Dr. Melvin Berger closely examines the light
red rash that is visible over most of the arms and legs of her otherwise healthy and
rambunctious 10-month old little boy. The child offers some protest when the doctor tries
to look in his ears but is otherwise happy and content to play with his mother&#146;s
keys. A mild food allergy is the suspected cause of the rash. The following week Berger is
setting up office in a tent among the vast training fields at the Army&#146;s Joint
Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La. This is quite a contrast from the quiet
suburban Cleveland office where he was examining the little boy. </p>

<h3>Army Reservists Assist Forest Fire Fighting Efforts</h3>

<p>FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. -- The largest forest fire in the history of California has
engulfed more than 80,000 acres in the Los Padres National Forest area south of Los
Angeles since it first ignited in early September. Approximately 30,000 acres of Fort
Hunter Liggett located adjacent to Los Padres have been consumed. Hunter Liggett
personnel, both Army Reservists and Department of the Army civilians, have played key
roles in assisting the U.S Forest Service in their efforts to contain and extinguish the
fire. </p>

it&#146;s 71 days, 1500 miles, 144 cities, 2,792,000 steps! On day 20, 450 miles into the

from the U.S. Army Reserve Command caught up with and walked 15 miles with the Command
Sgt. Maj. on his journey to raise funds for the National World War II Memorial.</p>
