| is one of the worst places in the Western hemisphere to live.</FONT></B> | |

| allowed</FONT></B> | |

| of Haiti </FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>to trample of the basic human rights of Haiti's people,</FONT></B> | |

| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>Again and again the people of Haiti have endured</FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>the robbery of their meager wealth by</FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1><FONT COLOR="#FF0000">corrupt leadership</FONT> supported | |
| by the </FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>United States government. </FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>Now Haiti is one of the poorest nations on earth.</FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>In the early days of the AIDS crisis Haiti was maligned</FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>in the U.S. and Haitians endured extreme acts </FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>of discrimination when the Haitian people were </FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>misidentified in the U.S. media as carriers of the | |
| deadly virus.</FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>Now <FONT COLOR="#FF0000">children are sick</FONT>, | |
| the water is filthy, the</FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>infrastructure is in ruins and the new Haitian government</FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>is once again under the thumb of a directionless</FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>U.S. foreign policy.</FONT></B> | |
| <BR><B><FONT SIZE=-1>We have asked ourselves what can we do to help these | |
