<h1> CARACAS (Reuters) - Los usuarios latinoamericanos de la
Internet, estimados en unos 4,8 millones, podrían crecer a
un ritmo de 32 por ciento anual en los próximos tres años,
dijo el jueves la empresa satelital estadounidense Comsat.</h1>
<h1> Latinoamérica alcanzaría unos 19 millones de cibernautas
en el 2003, convirtiéndola en una de las regiones de mayor
crecimiento del mundo, dijo en una conferencia de prensa Charles
Williams, vicepresidente de la filial Comsat International.</h1>
<h1> ``Y esos son los usuarios con computadoras conectadas (a
Internet) tanto en sus casas como en el trabajo'', dijo Williams,
que participa en un foro sobre Internet y comercio electrónico
en Caracas.</h1>
<h1> Aunque estudios coinciden en que la región, de 470 millones
de habitantes, es una de las de mayor crecimiento en el mundo
en la Internet, las estimaciones sobre el número de usuarios
actuales de la Red varían hasta en varios millones.<br>
