women for women. The EA is dedicated to providing information and support to women and
girls with endometriosis, educating the public as well as the medical community about the

Millennium Campaign for the Cure</big></p>

</b><p>The Endometriosis Association is embarking on a research mission - <b>Millennium
Campaign for the Cure</b> - that will improve the lives of and give hope to millions of
women and girls suffering from the often debilitating disease&#151;endometriosis.</p>
</blockquote>

<p>Endometriosis affects an estimated 5.5 million women and girls in North America and
millions more worldwide.&nbsp; There is no cure yet for this potentially life-altering
disease.</p>
<b><p><font FACE="Symbol">·</font> Millennium Campaign for the Cure</b> is a five-year,
$2.6 million effort. </p>
<p><b><font FACE="Symbol">·</font> </b>77<b> </b>% of the money raised will be used to
fund dynamic medical research at the&nbsp; prestigious Vanderbilt University School of
Medicine and Dartmouth Medical School, as well as fund independent researchers under the
direction of an international scientific advisory board and the Endometriosis Association.
</p>
<b><p><font FACE="Symbol">·</font> </b>The remaining 23% of the <b>Millennium Campaign
for the Cure </b>money will be used to enhance the Association's important educational and
support programs.</p>
<b><p><font FACE="Symbol">·</font> </b>The first $1 million raised in this campaign will
be matched with a $2 million contribution from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine
for endometriosis research in their facility. </p>
<p>It is our ultimate goal to cure endometriosis so that families will no longer need to
endure the emotional heartache and physical pain that endometriosis can cause. &nbsp;
Endometriosis is also a leading cause of infertility in women. </p>
<p>Because of breakthrough research by the Endometriosis Association and dedicated doctors
and researchers from all over the world, we are beginning to understand the causes of this
disease.&nbsp; However, if we hope to find a cure and continue reaching out to the
millions suffering from this disease, a major fundraising effort is needed now. </font></p>
