The Economic Research Service, USDA, has recently released a report entitled:&nbsp;
Economic Valuation of Environmental Benefits and the Targeting of Conservation
Programs:&nbsp; The Case of the CRP,&nbsp;&nbsp; by Peter Feather, Daniel Hellerstein, and
LeRoy Hansen, AER 778 at <a href="http://www.econ.ag.gov/epubs/pdf/aer778/">http://www.econ.ag.gov/epubs/pdf/aer778/</a>.&nbsp;
The report develops the argument for the use of nonmarket valuation techniques for more
informed environmental targeting of conservation programs. </p>
