&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ok, I'm finally fed up with
this situation.&nbsp; After watching it go on forever in chat rooms,
and wherever people new to the scene go to ask questions, these
&quot;holier than thou&quot; types are seriously making it worse. I'm
talking about the kind who look down apon the people who ask the
questions they most likely did at one time or another.&nbsp;&nbsp;
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Think for a moment
folks.. Where did you start?&nbsp; I'm sure you weren't born with a
unix manual in your hand, and all of that info you have now stored in
your head.&nbsp; Well,&nbsp; you say you learned it all by
yourself?&nbsp; Well,&nbsp; someone had to post all of those
websites,&nbsp; and if somehow you absorbed it all...good for
you.&nbsp; Not everyone can be a super computer
genius.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; If we all kept to
ourselves, and we all horded information, where would we be technology
wise?&nbsp; In the stone-age.&nbsp; That's right.&nbsp; If someone has
the desire to learn,&nbsp; teach them.&nbsp; This doesn't mean go out
of your way and spend all your time doing it,&nbsp; that's not my
point here.&nbsp; The point is not to laugh at those who have a desire
to learn,&nbsp; just as you and I have.&nbsp; If you don't try
somewhat to teach them the right way,&nbsp; they'll keep doing their
thing and not know that they're totally missing out on the real
deal.&nbsp; For those that tell them to go away and ignore them,&nbsp;
it really comes down to it being that it's your fault that they stay
the way they do.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Another thing.&nbsp; I'd&nbsp; like to
think of the hacking scene as my friend does the punk scene (Dnile).
If there's a &quot;poser&quot;, or a &quot;wanna-be&quot;, or whatever
you prefer, instead of laughing and letting them stay in that state
forever, what would they do?&nbsp; A real punk would help them out,
and tell them maybe albums they should buy to get a feel for a new
sound,&nbsp; or maybe tell him/her of some shows to go see to get a
taste for a different kind of music.&nbsp; Bottom line,&nbsp; you need
an open mind, you need to help your fellow man, in order to make
everything work.&nbsp; What good do you do if you scoff at the &quot;newbies&quot;?&nbsp;
None.. you're not showing the true spirit of a hacker,&nbsp; you're
just being a selfish egomaniac.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Just for the record,&nbsp; I'd like to say
that no, I don't think of myself as punk.&nbsp; Not because I don't
wear &quot;punk clothes&quot;,&nbsp; or have a mo-hawk,&nbsp; that's
not what it's about.&nbsp; It's not about what you look like, it's
about your attitude in general,&nbsp; which applies to what I'm
saying.&nbsp; I think of myself as a raver.&nbsp; I have a love for
electronic music, and I love the whole scene,&nbsp; the unity.&nbsp; I
also like classical rock,&nbsp; black metal,&nbsp; etc.. It all starts
with an open mind.&nbsp; But what all or most of these scenes are
about is one person bettering the next.&nbsp; P.L.U.R- Peace, love,
unity, respect.&nbsp; If you've read this far down and have loved
it,&nbsp; great.&nbsp; If you have read this far down and for some
reason or another hated it,&nbsp; I've still gotten the message across
to you, which is my objective here.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
