| </U><P ALIGN="JUSTIFY">The Board of Cooperative Educational Services for Nassau County and Levittown Memorial Education Center offer a wide variety of vocational and technical programs on a half-day basis. Students attend Glen Cove High School for their basic academic requirements and then are transported to a BOCES Center (Westbury, Carle Place, or Farmingdale) or Levittown for a 2½ hour session concentrating on a specific occupational area. A variety of courses are offered in the areas of agriculture, aviation, automotive technologies, business and commerce, construction trades, electronics, commercial arts, culinary arts, cosmetology, health professions, public service, and police science. 4 credits per yr. | <P ALIGN="JUSTIFY">All students who are using Occupational Education sequences to fulfill graduation requirements must take the state mandated one credit Introduction to Occupations course either in our school, BOCES or Levittown Memorial Education Center. They must also pass the State Proficiency Examination.</P> | |
| <P ALIGN="JUSTIFY">Students enrolled in Practical Nursing or Cosmetology must complete 2 full years and the necessary amount of hours in order to be eligible to sit for the State Licensing Examination.</P> | |
