<U><P></b><font color="#000000">888 DRIVER EDUCATION</U></b> <font color="#000000">- This program is offered to provide instruction in the safe operation of a motor vehicle.  Students receive safety instruction and practical driving experience.  Enrollment in driver education is subject to these conditions:  Each semester seniors will be assigned first on the basis of age.  Juniors will then be offered opportunities to enroll, followed by sophomores.  All students accepted into the program must have a satisfactory school attendance record.  Students must be 16 years old by September 1st for the fall semester, by January 1st for the spring semester.  Parents and students should be advised that a class DJ&nbsp;Driver's License, also known as a Junior License, is not valid in Nassau County unless a school issued Work Study Certificate is attached.  Students or parents with questions should see Mr. Peterson or Ms.&nbsp;LoRusso or call them at 759-7265.  ½ Credit.  May be taken Pass/Fail for <U>no</U> credit.</P>
