| <td><b>TBL&R</b> is one of the research laboratories for Educational Media <br> | |
| and Computers</b>, a program in the <a href="http://www.ed.asu.edu/coe">College of Education</a>'s<br> | |
| Division of Curriculum and Instruction.<p> | |
| The area prepares specialists in the design, production, and<br> | |
| utilization of media and computer applications for use in a<br> | |
| wide range of educational settings.<p> | |
| Graduates of the program are employed as teachers in public schools,<br> | |
| colleges, and universities and as program coordinators, production<br> | |
| specialists, project directors, and trainers in business, govern-<br> | |
| ment and military organizations. The program currently has grants<br> | |
| totalling over $2 million, which are funding research in inter-<br> | |
| active multimedia mathematics as well as other technology based<br> | |
| education projects. Several companies involved in the production <br> | |
| of media and computer-based instruction in the Southwest make<br> | |
| their facilities available to <b>EMC</b> students enrolled in internship<br> | |
| and practicum courses.<p> | |
| <b>EMC</b>, in partnership with the <a href="http://www.intel.com/">Intel Corporation</a>, developed a <br> | |
| <b>Multimedia CD-ROM</b> consisting of several instructional modules <br> | |
| that teach creative and effective designs and dynamic presentations.<br> | |
