<p align="center"><strong><big>IntraLATA Long Distance Choices</big></strong></p>
<p><strong>Northeast and Modern recently mailed notices to all telephone customers
advising them that effective<font color="#FF0000"> July 22, 1999</font> they will be able
to choose their intraLATA long distance carrier.&nbsp; These new rules that were ordered
by the Federal Communications Commission and the Missouri Public Service Commission have
understandably generated many questions.&nbsp; Several customers have asked our advice on
which carrier to choose.&nbsp; We are not allowed to recommend one carrier over
another.&nbsp;&nbsp; Plus, carriers offer many different plans that will affect each
customer differently depending on their calling habits.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The Missouri Office of Public Counsel has posted a web page showing long
distance rate comparisons for several Missouri Long Distance Companies.&nbsp; Also we have
had some additions to the list of long distance carriers that have offered to provide
intraLATA long distance service to our customers.</strong></p>
