<P>Rasmussen Research is <A HREF=http://www.portraitofamerica.com/html/poll-1138.html>reporting</A> that a plurality of U.S. voters would like third party candidates Pat Buchanan, Ralph Nader, Harry Browne, and Howard Phillips to be included in the televised Presidential Debates. 46% said yes, 37% said no, and 16% were not sure.</P>
<P>In another recent survey, Rasmussen reports that Libertarian Senatorial candidate Carla Howell is <A HREF=http://www.portraitofamerica.com/html/poll-1133.html>polling at 16% against Ted Kennedy</A>, and 'could be in a position to achieve one of the largest vote totals ever achieved by a Libertarian candidate'.</P>

I disagree with a lot of what he says (except for corporate accountablity -- I think corporations are as big of a threat as government to freedom. Of course, without government, we wouldn't have that problem...) but he's *smart* and eloquent. He would *thrash* Bush and Gore in a debate. It'd actually be fun to watch. <br>

I don't care if Buchannan is in the debate. He's a fascist. I don't think Browne has a resonable chance to get in. Not enough support. <br>

Anyway, if you get a chance, sign one of the Green Party's petitions to get Nader into the debate. Libertarians favor freedom; we should let people decide who to vote for based on what the canidates have to say, not on who has enough money to buy enough votes to be in the debate. I think anyone who qualifies for federal matching funds should be allowed to participate in the presidental debates. <br>
