<P>I saw an <A HREF=http://www.libertyrally.org/article.pl?sid=00/08/16/2112227&mode=nested>interesting story</A> over on <A HREF=http://www.libertyrally.org/>Liberty Rally</A> that suggests that the Founding Fathers would be overwhelmingly defeated if they were to run for office today. The original article that Liberty Rally linked to is located <A HREF=>here</A> on Jewish World Review. It is chock full of quotes that illustrate how radically different the political climate was two centuries ago, and how James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and Franklin Pierce would likely be very unpopular candidates in the year 2000.</P>

I''m sick of pro-gun people using the anti-crime crap about why we need the right to bear arms. That to me is a copout. The Second Amendment has <b>nothing</b> to do with crime. It has everything to do with <b>freedom</b>.<br><br>
I was in an argument with a liberal about guns the other day. This guy implied the right to bear arms would do no good against America''s modern military anyways, if America became a police state. I couldn''t disagree more. America could never beat Vietnam, just like the former Soviet Union could never defeat Afghanastan, because a determined people with guns <b>will always be free</b>.<br><br>
The other thing I''m sick of from the pro-gun crowd is calling ourselves law abiding. I am not law abiding. I speed. I smoke pot once in awhile. I am not law abiding. Am I a threat to the populace as a whole? No! It''''s time we started calling ourselves freedom loving, because that''s what we truly are. We believe with a free people, things will take care of themselves, because most people are good people, and good people should be free.
