IBM hat in einem Forschungslabor Linux auf einer Armbanduhr zum laufen gebraucht. Die Uhr kann mit PC's oder Handys drahtlos kommunizieren und "komprimierte E-Mails" und SMS-artige Kurznachrichten anzeigen. Es ist aber nicht geplant die Uhr auf den Markt zu bringen, sie ist ein reines Forschungsprojekt das zeigen soll, dass sich Embedded Linux auch für kleinste Geräte eignet.
