beatings she later succumbed to these injuries on 20-3-94. On this, locals of
Islamabad observed complete bandh (strike) against the molestation and rape
of two women on 22-4-94. At Sheerpora One Shakeela Banoo and her mother were
raped by the forces. Shakeela who had delivered a baby recently was also beaten
ruthlessly by the forces in the month of March 1994. </font></P>
<P><font color="#000000">On 5-5-94, one girl Jameela D/O Gh. Mohd. Shah R/O Islamabad,
was gang raped by Army posted at Khrewah and the locals protested against the
barbaric act. One Shaheena D/O Ab. Aziz R/O Pulwama Tral, was raped by the armed
forces on 5-5-94 and the people came on streets to demonstrate against the barbaric
act. At Wanagam Kukarnag, Dewalgam Islamabad, ladies who were collecting fire
wood in nearby forest were molested by the forces during crackdown operations
on 9-5-94. </font></P>
