You won't want to miss a trip to the Linux NetworX booth (No. 3038) at the LinuxWorld tradeshow Aug. 15-17 in San Jose, Calif., where the company will unveil the industry's first and only vertical rackmount chassis design for clusters. This new product, called Evolocity, will provide a more efficient alternative to the standard 19-inch chassis design used in many clustering applications. Following are just a few features of the new design: * One of the greatest benefits of the unique vertical design is that it runs significantly cooler than standard 1U and 2U systems. In fact, it runs more than 10 degrees Celsius cooler than 1U and 2U systems. * Because the system design reduces overheating risks, it also has the capacity to safely run more processors than traditional systems. Evolocity is the first in a number of innovations planned by Linux NetworX to bring the most powerful cluster technologies to customers.
