<P>Hugh Nall, a former SEC football player and another of Tommy Tuberville's assistants at Ole Miss, joins the Auburn staff in 1999 to coach the Tigers offensive line.
<P>Nall, a native of Thomaston, Georgia, knows what SEC football is all about.He played center at the University of Georgia from 1977-80, lettered all four years, and was a member of the Bulldog's 1980 national championship team. While at Georgia he also earned his B.S. degree in Education in 1982.
<P>Nall's coaching career began with Georgia, in 1981, where he served as a student assistant. Later that year, Nall was hired as the offensive line coach at Georgia Southern. During his three year stay there (1981-84), he helped the Eagles develop one of the best offensive teams in the country.
<P>After the 1984 season, Nall left Georgia Southern and the coaching arena to pursue other professional opportunities. He re-entered the coaching world in 1989 to become the offensive line coach for Jim Wacker at Texas Christian university. Wacker left TCU in 1991 to take the head job at the University of Minnesota, but Nall remained at TCU to become associate head coach and defensive line coach for former Auburn Heisman Trophy winner Pat Sullivan.
<P>He remained with the Horned Frog's through the 1994 season before leaving to join Tommy Tuberville and his staff at Ole Miss. Nall coached the Rebel offensive from 1995-98 before joining Tuberville at Auburn earlier this year.
<P>Nall is married to the former Sandra Smith of Portal, Georgia. They have two daughters, Smith and Mary Ashton, and one son, Chandler.
