<P>Terry Price, the youngest of coach Tuberville's assistants at age 31, brings his youthful enthusiasm to the Plains to work with the Tiger defensive ends.
<P>Price, who was born in Atlanta, Georgia, graduated from Plano High in Texas and went on to play college football at Texas A&M University. He earned four letters with the Aggies (1986-89), captured All- Southwest Conference honors as a senior, and appeared in three bowl games while at Texas A&M. During his four years, the Aggies won 71 percent of their games and won Southwest Conference Titles in 1986 and 1987.
<P>Price, upon leaving Texas A&M, was drafted in the 10th round of the 1990 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. After playing one year for Mike Ditka in Chicago, he signed a free agent contract with the Miami Dolphins in 1991. Price signed another free agent contract a year later with the San Diego Chargers, but a knee injury kept him out the entire season. He attended the San Francisco 49ers mini camp in 1993, but another knee injury forced Price out of pro football. Price returned to Texas A&M in Fall of 1993 where he completed his coursework and earned his B.S. degree in Sociology.
<P>He entered the coaching field in 1994 where he served as a graduate assistant for the Aggies, but left in July of that same year to take an assistant coaching job at Western Kentucky. Price stayed with Western for one season before joining Tommy Tuberville at Ole Miss in 1995. There he coached defensive ends through the 1998 season before coming to the Plains earlier this year to become the Tigers defensive ends coach.
