Cannot edit spreadsheet on Android phone

Viewing a spreadsheet in a webpage on an Android phone works, but trying to edit the spreadsheet does not work. The keyboard does not appear when I select a cell so I cannot enter values (or change values).

Tried on both the stock Android 5 Chrome browser and Opera browser.

This is a general issue on mobile devices. iOS has the same problem.
