# Default SQL functions `ModularORM` supports standard SQL functions. For example, if you need a `TIMESTAMP` column that will automatically update its value when modified, you can do it like this: ```typescript @Table() @NamedTable('ur_table_name') export class TestTable extends Module { @Column({ type: ColumnType.TIMESTAMP, notNull: true, onUpdate: SqlFunctions.CURRENT_TIMESTAMP }) public date : Date = new Date() } ``` Thus, when records are updated, the affected columns will automatically update the date to the current time. ### [Next >](Migrations.md)
