To fix the problem, we should explicitly specify a permissions block in the workflow file .github/workflows/postsubmit.yaml, at the root level. This block should restrict access for the GITHUB_TOKEN provided to the workflow runs. The strictest minimal permissions—contents: read—should be specified unless the reusable workflow requires additional permissions, which is not shown in the provided snippet. The best way to implement the fix is to add the permissions block directly after the name: field and before the on: block, or immediately after on: if preferred. This will apply least privilege permissions to all jobs in the workflow unless overridden.
